CSC to hold online job fair; over 700 gov't positions open for application

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) will be holding a five-day online job fair in September as it celebrates the 120th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, Commissioner Aileen Lizada said on Monday.

The online career fair, made in partnership with JobStreet, will be held from September 14 to 18, 2020.

"Good news po sa mga naghahanap ng trabaho. We have more or less 729 job vacancies involving 76 government agencies," Lizada said during the Laging Handa briefing.

More opportunities could open as the CSC has extended its deadline for government agencies to register job vacancies until September 10.

Job applicants may visit the CSC website for the guidelines on how to apply.

An SWS survey showed that adult joblessness in the Philippines surged to a record-high 45.5% in July amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

CSC's celebration of the Civil Service Month would also include a virtual press conference, fora, and online photography contest, among other activities, according to Lizada.—AOL, GMA News
