Duterte wants vacation for Cabinet officials in Spratlys, with Americans

President Rodrigo Duterte quipped about having a vacation with his official family during his recorded address to the nation which aired on Monday.

"One of these days magtawag ako ng bakasyon. Bakasyon tayo, mamili ka sa lugar, secretary, huwag lang labas sa Pilipinas. Dito lang," he said in jest.

"Maybe we'll visit Spratlys. But we will also invite the Americans to come along. We are going on a sightseeing tour," he added.

His remarks come at the heels of his decision to pardon US Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton, who was found guilty of killing a transgender Filipino woman in 2014.
