Cabinet recommended 4-hour curfew -Palace

President Rodrigo Duterte’s Cabinet has urged local government units to shorten curfew hours to help revive the pandemic-hit economy.

In an interview with state-run PTV on Wednesday, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. said the Cabinet suggested that curfew hours should be from 12 midnight to 4 a.m.

“Iyan po ay rekomendasyon ng Gabinete, pero siyempre po dahil magpapasa sila ng ordinansa, nasa lokal na pamahalaan po iyan,” he said.

Even before the Cabinet made the recommendation, San Juan City had already adjusted its curfew hours from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to 12 midnight to 5 a.m.

The Cabinet has also approved the recommendations of the economic team to gradually expand the age group allowed to go out of their residences and impose a one-seat-apart policy in public transport.
