The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) earlier announced it would resume full COVID-19 testing operations on Wednesday.  Senator Richard Gordon, its chairman, said he asked all accredited laboratories being operated by the organization to make available their services to PhilHealth anew.

This came after PhilHealth released P500 million as partial payment to the PRC,  about half of its P930-million debt for the COVID-19 tests conducted by the organization.

The DOH said it would intensify its testing and called on the public to remain vigilant in adhering to safety and health protocols as quarantine restrictions are slowly eased to help the economy recover.—LDF, GMA News
