PNP records 66 new COVID cases


A total of 66 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the Philippine National Police, pushing up the total number of infections to 7,957.

On Wednesday, the PNP also said that of the total number, 395 are active cases while 7,536 have already recovered.

PNP's COVID data as of 6 p.m. on November 24 showed that the death toll among its ranks remained at 26.

In October, the police organization announced the operation of its molecular laboratory at the PNP General Hospital, which was expected to provide quality health care services among its personnel amid the pandemic.

In May, it also operated its own RT-PCR laboratory in Camp Crame to avoid the spread of infections among the cops.  —LBG, GMA News
