NAPOLCOM vice-chair Casurao dies

The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) on Saturday announced that its vice-chairman and executive officer, Atty. Rogelio Casurao, has passed away.

“We deeply mourn his passing and we will forever cherish his memories. We will honor him by continuing to fight the good fights that he fought to move NAPOLCOM forward most especially in this time of great sorrow and pandemic,” the NAPOLCOM said in a Facebook post.

“Thank you and we wish everyone the best in these challenging times,” it added.

Philippine National Police chief Police General Debold Sinas on Sunday conveyed condolences to the family of Casurao.

"With a heavy heart, I join the officer corps and rank and file of the Philippine National Police in expressing our grief and mourning over the passing of our beloved NAPOLCOM Vice Chairman and Executive Officer, Atty. Rogelio T Casurao," Sinas wrote in a Facebook post.

"I extend the deepest sympathy of the PNP leadership to his bereaved family in this difficult time," he added.

Sinas said Casurao "lived a full life in the service of his country and people."

"His legacy of fair and judicious application of administrative rules and policies over the PNP shall remain with the police institution through the years. It is our duty to give justice to his good work through honest and dedicated police service," he said.
