Room 2207 occupants seen leaving hotel hours before Dacera found dead

Security camera footage showed the occupants of Room 2207 leaving a Makati hotel on the morning of January 1, hours before flight attendant Christine Dacera was found dead in the adjacent room.

According to Emil Sumangil’s “24 Oras” report on Monday, the CCTV footage showed three persons of interest from Room 2207 boarding the elevator past 7 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

Shortly after the three individuals entered the elevator, a fourth person of interest came in.

They left the hotel aboard a red car, while their fellow occupants of Room 2207 remained at the establishment.

The National Bureau of Investigation earlier said it had identified the occupants of the said room but refused to name them.

A reliable source from the police’s joint investigation team told GMA News that Dacera and her friends initially booked Room 2209 on December 30.

On December 31, Room 2207 was also given to the group after they requested another room.

In a statement, John Paul Halili, the hotel manager and a friend of Dacera’s, said he was the one who arranged the accommodation.

Another member of the group, JP Dela Serna, introduced Halili to occupants of Room 2207.

Dacera was found dead in a bathtub a day after she checked into the hotel for a New Year’s Eve celebration.

Meanwhile, the source also refuted an earlier statement by respondents in the case that there were no party drugs in their celebration.

Valentine Rosales and Rommel Galido earlier told the media that they did not see drugs at the party.

According to the source, however, Dela Serna had said in a sworn statement that a certain Mark Anthony Rosales brought “powder drugs,” but the only person at the celebration who accepted his offer to take it was Louie De Lima.—Julia Mari Ornedo/LDF, GMA News
