Tala Hospital COVID-19 ward now at full capacity

The Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital or Tala Hospital in Caloocan City has been unable to accommodate more patients in its COVID-19 ward as coronavirus disease cases continue to surge.

According to Sam Nielsen's dzBB report,  Alfonso Famaran, medical director of the Caloocan hospital, said its COVID-19 ward is fully occupied this afternoon, recording more than 400 patients being treated.

Meanwhile, Famaran reported that 10 out of 90 intensive care unit beds at the hospital are occupied.

The hospital management also asked the public to coordinate with One Hospital Command, referral system for COVID-19 hospitals, for infected patients in need of immediate treatment.

The hospital's  full capacity also comes after the Philippines recorded another record-high of 8,773 new COVID-19  cases, bringing the active cases to 99,891. -NB, GMA News
