Jinggoy, JV denounce fake news that ex-Pres. Estrada had died


Amid a fake news report posted on social media claiming that former President Joseph Estrada had passed away, Estrada's sons, former Senators Jinggoy Estrada and JV Ejercito, vehemently denied that their father had died, saying that he is in hospital, alive, and recuperating.

"There are reports circulating on FB that my father has passed away.
This is NOT true," said Jinggoy Estrada in his Facebook post.

"The news circulating about my dad is not true. He is still in the hospital recuperating," chimed JV Ejercito in his tweet.

"Whoever is behind this fake news is so unchristian. You do not wish bad things on anyone, no matter if you don’t like the person."

GMA News meanwhile issued a statement, emphatically denying that it produced a report that the former president had died.

 

GMA News wishes to clarify that it did not produce a post saying that former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada has died. ...
