Ex-Pres. Estrada sedated, moved to ICU –Jinggoy

Former President Joseph Estrada, who is in hospital with COVID-19, was sedated and moved to the ICU on Sunday, his son ex-Senator Jinggoy Estrada said in a Facebook post.

"While he needed to be placed on high flow oxygen support, we are thankful that there has been no need to put him on a ventilator," Jinggoy explained in his post.

"However, he is being sedated to lessen his anxiety which may affect his heart and aggravate his condition. Thus, he has been moved to the ICU for closer observation."

He added that the former president was in a stable but guarded condition.

Jinggoy announced that his father was COVID-19 positive last March 29.  — DVM, GMA News
