Duterte weighing ‘pros and cons’ of NCR Plus quarantine —Roque

Residents in the National Capital Region (NCR) Plus bubble will have to wait a little bit longer on the announcement whether or not the enhanced community quarantine in the area will be extended.

This, as President Rodrigo Duterte is still “weighing the pros and cons before making his final decision regarding the quarantine classification of the National Capital Region Plus Area,” according to his spokesman Harry Roque Jr.

“The Chief Executive would like to review and check pertinent information such as the Health Care Utilization Rate (HCUR) of the aforesaid area,” Roque said.

“We shall provide the necessary notice once everything has been made final,” he added.

The anticipated press conference and announcement on the quarantine status in the NCR Plus on Saturday will not push through.

The ECQ in Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Bulacan - collectively dubbed as NCR Plus bubble - will expire on Sunday, April 11.

The strictest quarantine classification in the area began on March 29. It was supposed to be until April 4, but was extended until April 11. -MDM, GMA News
