Gov't mulls isolating vaccinated from others in establishments

Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion said on Friday they have suggested implementing a segregation of vaccinated and unvaccinated people in business establishments.

Interviewed on Super Radyo dzBBB, Concepcion said they have been consulting experts on the concerns of the private sector regarding the ‘next normal.’

“We've been discussing on the idea of segregation kasi bawal na i-ban namin those who will not take the vaccine to enter an establishment,” he said.

(We've been discussing the idea because we cannot ban unvaccinated people from entering an establishments.)

Quoting Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, Concepcion said there has to be a law prohibiting them [the unvaccinated] from entering establishments.

If the segregation would be implemented, Concepcion said they will only set a different time for vaccinated and unvaccinated people to visit business establishments such as movie theaters and bars.

“Paano kung pwedeng segregation, so movie time. (If segregation will be allowed, there will be a movie time),” he said.

“Maybe those vaccinated will have a set time in the movie theater and then those that are not vaccinated will have this time,” he added. —LBG, GMA News
