Robredo, other officials pay last respects to Noynoy Aquino
Vice President Leni Robredo and other officials on Thursday paid tribute to former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III at the Heritage Park in Taguig, tweets by GMA News' Tina Panganiban-Perez showed.
Aquino, son of the late President Corazon Aquino and slain senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr., passed away at 61-years-old after he was rushed to the Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City.
Robredo earlier extended her condolences to Aquino’s family, calling the former leader a good friend and an honest President.

Meanwhile, Iloilo Representative Janette Garin also visited the memorial park. Garin served as the Health secretary during the late president’s administration.
Cesar Purisima, who also served as Aquino’s Finance Secretary, also went to the Heritage.
Former Congressman and former Philippine Olympic Committee President Peping Cojuangco, Aquino’s uncle, also arrived to pay his respects.
