Palace: LGUs can require RT-PCR test from vaccinated travelers

Malacañang said Friday that local government units have been allowed to require a negative RT-PCR COVID-19 test from fully vaccinated local tourists, including senior citizens.
“LGUs retain the discretion in requiring RT-PCR testing or accepting duly issued COVID-19 vaccination cards for allowed interzonal travel,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.
The Inter-Agency Task Force, the government 's regulatory body for COVID-19 response, earlier eased travel restrictions on fully vaccinated individuals by requiring only an authentic vaccination card.
Roque, however, reiterated that anyone presenting forged and/or falsified vaccination card shall be dealt with in accordance with the law. —Llanesca T. Panti/LBG, GMA News
