Palace on Pulse Asia poll: Pinoys have full trust on President Duterte

Malacañang said Wednesday that the Pulse Asia survey showing President Rodrigo Duterte and his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, leading in the race for possible candidates for vice president and vice president, respectively, proves the public's full trust on the Dutertes.

(It only shows that the people fully trust and believe the President despite criticisms.)

Mayor Sara led the field of possible presidential candidates with 28%, ahead of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno who got 14% in second spot.

President Duterte topped the possible candidates for vice president with 18% rating.

The President, however, is statistically tied with second placer Moreno since the margin of error is at 4%.

Roque expressed well wishes for other potential 2022 bets for the top two posts such as Senate President Vicente Sotto III and Senator Panfilo Lacson.

“We wish them the very best because in a democracy, the electorate should have choices,” Roque said.

The President earlier said he is considering a vice presidential bid in 2022, while daughter Sara said she is also open to running for president. —LDF, GMA News
