PNP reports 84 new COVID-19 cases

Eighty-four more personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the total to 29,619, according to the agency on Friday.

The PNP also announced that total recoveries climbed to 28,419 after 117 more personnel recovered from the illness.

Meanwhile, one new fatality brought the death toll to 80.

There are also 1,120 personnel still undergoing treatment.

The Philippines has logged a total of 1,537,097 confirmed cases, of which 1,455,137 have recovered and 26,891 new fatalities.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
