140 new COVID-19 cases bring PNP total to 32,760

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday reported 140 new COVID-19 cases among its personnel, raising the total number to 32,760.

According to the PNP, total recoveries climbed to 30,679 after 139 more police officers defeated the respiratory illness.

Two more cops, meanwhile, succumbed to the disease, bringing the death toll to 98.

So far, there are 1,983 active cases within the police force.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 rose to 1,776,495 with 105,151 active cases, 1,640,721 recoveries and 30,623 deaths. -- Ma. Angelica Garcia/BAP, GMA News
