Health professionals seek clear gov't plan vs. COVID-19 pandemic

An alliance of health professionals on Friday called on the government to come up with concrete plans in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic as patients continue to flood hospitals.

According to Saleema Refran's report on Balitanghali, the Healthcare Professionals Alliance Against COVID-19 (HPAAC), in a press conference, said the situation is getting worse especially in provinces where hospitals have limited capacities.

The report also said the group apologizes on behalf of hospitals that could no longer accept COVID-19 patients.

The group also mentioned that the government's alleged failure to give all the benefits owed to healthcare workers despite the huge amount of misused and unspent funds.

Despite these challenges, HPAAC said they would continue to perform their duties to the public.

(Because of all of you we'll continue doing our jobs. Because of you our belief gets stronger that together we can fight this pandemic. To our fellow health workers, let's draw strength from each other so we can survive this pandemic together.)
