Kiko Pangilinan files COC for VP in Eleksyon 2022

Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan filed his certificate of candidacy for vice president for the May 2022 national and local elections.

Pangilinan will be the running-mate of Vice President Leni Robredo, who announced her presidential bid and filed her COC on Thursday.

Pangilinan was accompanied by Robredo as he filed his COC on the last day of filing.

Pangilinan had earlier accepted the Liberal Party's nomination for him to run for reelection in 2022.

Pangilinan was first elected as senator from 2001 to 2007. He ran for a second term and ended his stint in 2013 as he held certain posts under the Aquino administration.

He was then reelected in the Senate in 2016.  --KBK, GMA News
