DILG says LGUs outside NCR that could be placed under alert level system 'identified'

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has "identified" local government units (LGUs) outside the National Capital Region (NCR) that could be placed under the alert level system, an official said on Friday.

The alert level system is currently being piloted in NCR.

“May na-identify na rin po kami na mga lokal na gobyerno sa labas ng NCR na pasisimulan na rin yung alert level system,” DILG Undersecretary Epimaco Densing III told Super Radyo dzBB.

(We have identified local governments outside NCR where the alert level system will be implemented.)

GMA News Online has asked Densing for the list of LGUs, but he has yet to respond to the request.

Under the Inter-Agency Task Force guidelines, alert level systems will cover entire cities or municipalities, which will manage and minimize spread of infections.

Each city or municipality will be classified from Alert Level 1 to Alert Level 5. It will be the Department of Health who will assign these alert level systems.

The new classification framework was launched in Metro Manila on September 16.  — VBL, GMA News
