Duterte visits parents' tomb in Davao City a week after Undas
President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, November 8, 2021, visited
the resting place of his parents at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Davao City.
Duterte's father, Vicente Duterte, was the former governor of then undivided Davao province, while his mother, Soledad, was one of Davao's respected civic leaders.
The visit came days after All Souls' and All Saints' Days during which cemeteries nationwide were closed to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
Cemeteries reopened on November 3 after being closed from October 29 to November 2.
The President was accompanied by Senator and vice presidential aspirant Bong Go, his trusted ally, during the visit. —KBK, GMA News
