Egyptian in UAE faces court for groping Pinay in elevator

An Egyptian waiter faced a United Arab Emirates (UAE) court on Monday for allegedly groping a Filipina photographer inside an elevator last February.   The 24-year-old waiter was accused of pushing the Filipina outside the elevator after groping her after midnight in Abu Hail, UAE, a report of the news site Khaleej Times said on Tuesday.    In her testimony, the 27-year-old Filipina said the incident happened as she was coming home from a wedding with a co-worker at about 1:35 a.m. The Filipina said she was shocked when the Egyptian made a pass at her that she instinctively punched him on his shoulder.   When the Filipina asked her co-worker to call for help, the Egyptian suddenly hit her on her abdomen. Her right shoulder hit the wall and she fell down, the report said.   The Egyptian then allegedly grabbed her by the hand and pulled her toward the emergency exit.   However, by that time, her co-worker had returned with other people, prompting the Egyptian to let go of the Filipina and to run away from the scene.
