Pinoy bands, artists in UAE join forces for a night of music

Ronald Galvez is beaming with pride these days. That's because his brainchild, Sessions DXB, a concert series featuring UAE-based Pinoy artists, will have its fourth installment this month.

"We started Sessions DXB [in] April 2015," said Galvez, a 39-year-old graphic communications manager at Al-Futtaim Group. "We had three successful events in the past year and we look forward to hosting more."

To be held on March 18 at The Fridge in Dubai, the event will feature over a dozen Filipino bands and artists for a night of music.

"As a platform for professional and amateur music talents, we provide a mini-concert set-up in a recreational environment to help them find the unique moments in their music and performances to capture and engage audiences," said Galvez, who is being helped by several other like-minded OFWs in his endeavor.

"With 25-production staff setting up the stage with instrument backline, sound system, lightings, photography, video coverage, we help artists and bands communicate!" he added.
