435 kilos of fish caught via dynamite fishing seized in Quezon

Some 435 kilos of fish caught using dynamite fishing were seized in Quezon province last Sunday, the Philippine Coast Guard said Thursday.

The Coast Guard said an inspection team found the illegally caught fish aboard the passenger/cargo vessel "Mike Denmark" and cargo boat M/B Jelly.

Conducting the random inspection were the Coast Guard Northern Quezon Station Special Operations Unit, the Municipal Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council and Bantay Dagat.

The Coast Guard said the fish were caught using dynamite.

BFAR fish examiner Domingo Torres confirmed this and brought the fish to the M-FARMC Office for proper disposal.
