Air Force man on vacation shot dead in Jolo

An enlisted personnel of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) was shot dead outside a church in Jolo, Sulu on Friday afternoon.

 

Brig. Gen. Alan Arrojado, commander of the Joint Task Group Sulu, identified the victim as Andre Burias Nono, 27, assigned with the 15th Strike Wing based in Sangley Point, Cavite.

 

Arrojado said Nono, a native of Jolo, was on a holiday break.

 

He said Nono was shot dead at the back of the Jolo Church at around 5 p.m.

 

Joint police and military teams arrested the victim's shooters, who are suspected members of the Abu Sayyaf Group. —ALG, GMA News
