A 16-year-old boy attempted to pass himself off as a legally-aged voter during the special elections held at Binidayan, Lanao del Sur on Saturday, GMA News reporter Raffy Tima reported.
The teenager possessed a voter's ID from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) which stated that he was 22 years old.
The child eventually admitted to being just 16-years-old.
"16 siya ngayon, 16," the teenager's companion confirmed.

Police monitoring the conduct of elections spotted the boy while in a queue at a polling precinct.
Others who similarly looked underaged were spotted in the polling place. They also showed voter registration ID cards issued by the Comelec.
Despite the seeming irregularity, Senior Supt. Antonio Gardiola, deputy chief for administration of the national police in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, said the elections at Binidayan was quite peaceful.
"So far Raffy, maganda, maganda naman yung ating preparations sa security. In fact, nag-create kasi kami ng Philippine Army ng ano, nung Task Group Binidayan saka binuhos natin ang tao natin ngayon dito," Gardiola said.
"May nagkakaproblemang mga VCMs pero minor lang naman, nare-resolve kagad," he continued.
Police officers served as Board of Election Inspectors (BEI) for the special elections held at the Binidayan Community High School of the Mindanao State University five days after the May 9 polls.
