‘Termite gang’ tunnels into Bataan mall, steals P7M worth of cash, gadgets

Some P7 million worth of cash and other gadgets were stolen by a "termite gang" from several establishments in a mall in Balanga, Bataan.

According to a report on GMA News' "News to Go" on Sunday, three individuals went through canals and entered the mall through a hole they made.

Among the establishments robbed were the office of a property developer, a money changer, and the mall's department store.

The robbers were able to get away with P1.5 million in cash, watches, gadgets, and more cash from the money changer office. They left their materials, including ropes and a crowbar, at the site.

The police are currently investigating the matter, and are currently looking at the possibility that the incident may have been planned as the robbers knew the mall's layout. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/BM, GMA News
