Rescuers save man from angry flood in breath-taking rescue operation

Police personnel and concerned citizens rescued a man trapped in surging floodwaters, in a breath-taking operation in Tarlac's Camiling town along Romulo Highway on Saturday.

According to YouScooper Lord Aquino, it took rescuers an hour before they could pull the man out of the floodwater using a rope.

Rescuers could not use their rubber boats due to strong water current. Also, debris floating from an overflowing creek nearby made the rescue difficult.

The victim was nearly swept away by the flood when he made an attempt to cross the highway. He was finally brought to safety after a daring but careful rescue operation. —Rie Takumi/LBG, GMA News
