2 ASG members killed in Sulu encounters —military

Two members of the Abu Sayyaf group (ASG) were killed in separate encounters with government troops in Sulu, the military said on Wednesday.

According to a report on "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon," suspected ASG member Arson Omar was killed in a military operation in Barangay Saying Susuk, Maimbung following information that 15 armed men were seen in the area.

Omar's companions, identified as Murtasil Paradjil alias Muster Ibla, Private Jaelord Roque, and ASG sub-commander Indang Susukan, were injured and brought to the hospital.

Another suspected ASG member identified Alex Habbibondin alias Amah was killed in a separate operation on Wednesday morning. — Margaret Claire Layug/MDM, GMA News
