P47.6M suspected shabu seized in Mandaue City, Cebu

At least P47.6 million worth of suspected shabu  was seized from Charlie Fortuna, 24, inside a subdivision in Barangay Cubacob in Mandaue City at past 11 p.m. on Friday.

The operation was conducted by the Regional Intelligence Division in Central Visayas (RID-7) and the Regional Special Operations Group in Central Visayas (RSOG)-7.

Fortuna denied that the seven packs of suspected shabu were his.

Authorities also seized some nubain ampules (a narcotic pain killer) from Fortuna, who claimed that he was just asked to bring the contraband from a friend whose identity he refused to divulge.

"Nadamay rako [Nadamay lang ako]," he told reporters, adding that it was his second time to be arrested. The first arrest was for one kilo of illegal drugs. — BAP, GMA News
