9-year-old girl found tied up, badly bruised under Cainta bridge

A 9-year-old girl was found under the Ortigas Extension bridge in Cainta, Rizal with hands bound together and her neck tied, according to a report by Athena Imperial on GMA News' Unang Balita on Tuesday.

A resident found the child with bruises in many parts of the body. Ants were also crawling over her.

The child has been brought to the hospital, and a doctor said she vomited blood that is a symptom of a traumatic brain injury.

She is out of danger but had to be transferred to another hospital to undergo a CT scan.

Relatives of the girl and police officers declined to issue a statement on the ongoing investigation into the case. —BAP/KG, GMA News
