Outgoing Cebu Mayor Osmeña strips office of fixtures; incoming mayor Labella to probe

Outgoing Cebu City Mayor Tommy Osmeña stripped his office bare days before he was to end his term on June 30, according to Balitang Bisdak, as reported by GMA News' Saksi on Friday.

The mayor's office looked abandoned since there were no more furniture, floor tiles, ceiling, and glass divider.

Osmeña's executive officer said the mayor did not violate any law since he was the one who spent for the office's repair and renovation.

This was because the local government did not grant the mayor's request for funds to renovate the office.

Incoming Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella's camp said they will conduct an investigation to see if Osmeña committed any violation.

Osmeña's camp on the other hand said they are ready to face any charge Labella's camp may raise, according to a report on GMA News' 24 Oras on Sunday.
