Man crossing a footbridge in Baguio dies after being hit by passerby

A man died in Baguio City early Monday morning after he was hit by a man he met as he was going down a footbridge in Baguio City, according to a report on GMA's Saksi.

The incident transpired early Monday morning in a part of Magsaysay Avenue in Baguio City and was recorded in the CCTV in the area.

In another CCTV footage, the man, identified as Colin Akinchang, can be seen going down the stairs when he was hit by another man, Marc Manginga Calical.

The victim fell and lost consciousness while the suspect and three companions just left the scene.

Akinchang as rushed to the hospital but died while being treated.

Baguio City Police Director Colonel Allan Rae Co said the victim may have hit his head on the pavement.

He added that Calical and his companions are the subject of a man hunt.

"We have information na nakalabas na siya sa dito sa city so continuing and paghahanap sa kanta. Mas magandang sumurrender na siya," Co said.

The victim's family is seeking justice.

Robert Akinchang said, "Dapat sana sa madaling panahon mabigyan ng hustisya sa kapatid ko."  — BAP, GMA News
