An initial police investigation showed that the seven bricks weigh seven kilos, which by estimates and upon laboratory verification, would cost P35 million.

Concerned citizens who were on a family picnic discovered the bricks in the coastal area of Sitio Bulwagin, Barangay Cagsiay 1 in Mauban.

One of them discovered the items at about 12:30 p.m. and immediately reported to the town police.

Authorities said the bricks will be brought to the Quezon province PNP Crime Laboratory for examination. —Peewee Bacuño/LBG, GMA News
