Radio anchor shot dead in Kidapawan


A Kidapawan radio commentator was shot dead in Kidapawan City, North Cotabato, on Wednesday night, police said Thursday.

Police Regional Office (PRO) 12 identified the victim as Eduardo Dizon, radio commentator of Brigada News.

Police said Dizon was on board his Mitsubishi Mirage G4 when he was shot several times by still unidentified suspects.

Philippine National Police chief Police General Oscar Albayalde has ordered the PRO 12, led by Police Brigadier General Eliseo Rasco, to immediately look into the incident.

Meanwhile, the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines said that if  Dizon’s killing is connected to his work, he will be the 13th journalist killed under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
