Imus, Cavite school suspends class after 40 students get stomach problems
At least 40 students at the Imus Institute-Dimasalang campus in Cavite experienced stomach problems on Wednesday.
According to Super Radyo dzBB's Nimfa Ravelo, the students who were rushed to the hospital experienced diarrhea, vomiting, and dizziness after having some beverage.
Salve Severo, head of the Imus Risk Reduction Management Office, said only seven students remained confined as of Thursday afternoon, as the rest have already been discharged.
As they had yet to determine the cause of the suspected food poisoning, Severo mentioned that several types of drinks were available to students, including sago't gulaman, milktea, chocolate shake, and ice tea, among others.
Severo also said classes at the Institute were cancelled until Friday.
