Lane change triggers NLEX road-rage shooting

A couple of lane changes was enough to trigger a road-rage shooting along the Marilao-Bulacan section of the North Luzon Expressway, according to Bernadette Reyes' Saturday report on GMA 7 news program "24 Oras Weekend."

A motorist's attempt to move in and out of the NLEX's fast lane had so annoyed an SUV driver that the latter allegedly opened fire on the motorist multiple times.

Pero nabigla ako, pinaputok niya," recounted the motorist.

The motorist was able to evade the irate SUV driver and seek help from the local police.

Investigators were able to identify the SUV driver, who had no firearm registered to his name.

Neither was the SUV driver, now a suspect, home when police officers attempted to interview him.

Nevertheless, an attempted-homicide charge was now being prepared against the hot-headed SUV driver. — DVM, GMA News
