Quick-reacting cop hops on drug suspect's getaway trike

An alleged drug dealer's attempt to evade arrest by roaring off on tricycle came to nothing as a determined Dasmariñas-Cavite police officer hoped on to the moving vehicle while other cops gave chase on foot.

According to Bernadette Reyes' Saturday report on GMA 7 news program "24 Oras Weekend," the suspect then jumped off the moving trike, leaving it behind to crash along with his stowaway passenger.

However, even this ploy was not enough to evade the cops, and he was arrested along with an accomplice.

Found on the suspects were P700,000 in suspected shabu. — DVM, GMA News
