High-value target, 2 others killed in Cagayan de Oro clash with cops

A high-value target from Laguna and his two cohorts were killed during a police operation in Cagayan fe Oro City on Thursday.

Information reaching Camp Crame on Friday said police were about to serve a warrant of arrest against one Marvin Fajardo at his residence for direct assault when he and his men fired shots at the policemen.

According to the police, Fajardo was the alleged leader of a criminal group involved in gun for hire, illegal drugs and robbery-extortion activities in the National Capital Region and nearby provinces such as Laguna.

Seized during the operation were two .45 pistol, 357 revolver, identification cards, and some gadgets.

Fajardo and his cohorts were brought to J.R. Borja Memorial City Hospital but were declared dead on arrival.

The warrant was issued by Judge Michelle Manaig-Calumpong of 4th Judicial Region in Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Tanauan City in Batangas on December 1, 2013. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
