Bangsamoro Transition Parliament approves on 3rd reading creation of Human Rights Commission

The Bangsamoro Transition Parliament approved on third and final reading before the holiday break the creation of the Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission.

The approved BTA Act No. 3 provides for an enabling law to operationalize Section 7 of Article 9 of Republic Act 11054 (Bangsamoro Organic Law) to put up the Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission and provide funds for it.

The Bangsamoro Tranisition Parliament also approved on third and final reading BTA Act No. 5 which provides for the creation of the Bangsamoro Attorney General's Office.

BTA Act No. 5 also defines that office's functions and powers and appropriates funds for it.

Also approved was BTA No. 6 — An Act Establishing a Bangsamoro Socio-Economic Development Planning System, Providing Funds Therefor, and for Other Purposes. —KG, GMA News
