Over 200 linemen sent to restore power in Ursula-hit Aklan

At least 230 linemen have been sent to Aklan to help restore power in the province after the onslaught of typhoon Ursula during Christmastime, GMA News TV’s Balitanghali reported Sunday.

These linemen came from different electric power cooperatives in Luzon, Western Visayas, and Mindanao, according to National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) – Western Visayas.

They will fix the power lines that were damaged by the typhoon. NGCP said at least 14 of their transmission towers need repair.

The entire province of Aklan, including Boracay Island, is currently experiencing a blackout. — Joviland Rita/BM, GMA News
