Bacolod City now has 7 positive COVID-19 cases


The Department of Health (DOH) in Western Visayas has reported on Friday evening that a patient has tested positive of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Bacolod City, bringing the number to seven.

The health department in the region, in its latest bulletin, said the patient is a 48-year old male with travel history in Los Angeles, USA and Manila.

He is Western Visayas (WV) Patient 26 with close contact to WV Patient 14.

The DOH said the new patient has hypertension and polymyositis.

"He still has dry cough but now in stable condition," it added.

For the whole of Western Visayas, the DOH has already reported a total of 30 cases as of April 3.

Health authorities earlier confirmed that the city now has a local transmission due to the increasing number of confirmed positive cases. -- BAP, GMA News
