MODIFIED COMMUNITY QUARANTINE

Sara Duterte set to lift Davao City ECQ on April 26

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte will lift the enhanced community quarantine in the city by April 26 amid the COVID-19 pandemic to allow scaled down mass transport operation and minimal level of work resumption.

Duterte said the city is ready to transition into a modified community quarantine as recommended by the health experts.

“Our epidemiologists, our infectious diseases specialists, are okay with modified community quarantine. The only difference is the operation of mass transport, but this will still be at a minimal level,” Sara said in a radio interview.

“Workers of some establishments can also go back to their work, subject to limitations and that social distancing should also be observed,” she added.

Likewise, the Davao City mayor said essential establishments which are allowed to operate should adopt a skeletal workforce and shortened work hours.
