Tudela Mayor Parojinog, town police force quarantined for COVID-19

The mayor and the entire police force of Misamis Occidental's Tudela town were quarantined after they came into contact with a nurse who was coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) positive.

According to a Saturday 24 Oras News Alert, Mayor Samuel Parojinog and the 25 police officers of the Tudela police force were quarantined for two weeks at a local resort which had been converted into COVID-19 health facility.

The nurse's co-workers at the local health unit were also quarantined for two weeks.

The nurse was likely infected by a COVID-19 patient who died last April 15. — DVM, GMA News
