The patient was quarantined at the Matnog Quarantine Facility upon arrival and was later transferred to the COVID-19 ward of the Sorsogon Provincial Hospital.

He is in stable condition.

Escudero said the first case "triggered" the protocols in the province which include contact tracing, mass quarantine of those who came in contact with the patient, disinfection, vitamin distribution, and information dissemination to all exposed.
