Male nurse is Baguio City's 32nd COVID-19 case


A 32-year-old male nurse is the latest case of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Baguio City, its public information office said Sunday.

According to the Baguio City Public Information Office, the latest infection brought the total number of cases in the city to 32.

 

Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the nurse, who worked at Baguio General Hospital, is a resident of Barangay Maria Pucay Pinsao Proper.

Magalong has already ordered immediate lockdown of the barangay to facilitate contact-tracing.

Quarantine and disinfection protocols in the affected areas were also implemented, he said.

The mayor also urged residents to abide by the new general community quarantine protocols which began on Saturday. —Ma. Angelica Garcia/LBG, GMA News
