Magnitude 5.2 quake hits San Fernando, La Union
A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck San Fernando, La Union at 1:17 p.m. on Thursday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

Based on information provided by PHIVOLCS, the earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 81 kilometers.
PHIVOLCS said Intensity 4 was felt in Labrado, Pangasinan, while Intensity 3 was felt in Quezon City.
Intensity 2, on the other hand, was felt in Navotas City and San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
Instrumental intensities were also felt in the following areas:
- Intensity 3 - Dagupan City
- Intensity 2 - Vigan City; Baguio City; San Jose, Nueva Ecija
- Intensity 1 - Cabanatuan City; Guagua, Pampanga; Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte; Palayan City; San Ildefonso, Bulacan; Baler, Aurora
