Army soldier among four dead after armed men fire at them in Basilan

An Army soldier and three others died after unidentified armed men fired at them in Tipo-Tipo, Basilan, the military said on Saturday morning.

The three other fatalities were two Civilian Active Auxiliary (CAA) members and one civilian, the Philippine Army's Western Mindanao Command (WestMinCom) said.

Four others were also wounded — two CAA and two civilians, according to WestMinCom.

The shooting incident occurred in Barangay Bohe Lebbung, the military said. —KG, GMA News
