3 frontliners among 5 new COVID-19 cases in Batangas City


Three frontliners were among the five new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Batangas City.

According to a report on 24 Oras News Alert on Monday morning, the city health office said the three tested positive after undergoing the targeted testing for frontliners in the city.

Two of the new cases, meanwhile, had no travel history and no history of exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 patient.

Authorities have already started contact tracing to prevent the spread of the virus.

So far, Batangas City has recorded a total of 84 cases of COVID-19, including five deaths and 64 recoveries.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 ballooned to 44,254 on Sunday with 1,297 fatalities and 11,942 recoveries. —Ma. Angelica Garcia/KG, GMA News
