MCIA begins Philippines' first ever airport-devoted COVID-19 PCR tests
The Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority on Sunday began the operation of the Philippines' first airport-dedicated COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing laboratory.
In photos shared by Super Radio dzBB’s Mao dela Cruz, people can be seen being tested in kiosks inside the the 400-square-meter laboratory.

The Mactan airport became the first airport in the country to have its dedicated COVID-19 testing laboratory.
It is the fourth facility in Cebu accredited to conduct COVID-19 tests.
According to the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the laboratory is expected to process 1,500 to 3,000 tests daily with results available after 24 hours.
The laboratory also holds a BSL-2 certification from the Department of Health and the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, the DOTr said. —LBG, GMA News
